Who We Are

St. Stephen’s ministry focuses on three core things: 1) at least a weekly celebration of the Holy Eucharist made up of the Liturgy of the Word with lector-read scripture passages from the Revised Common Lectionary, a sermon, and prayers, followed by the Liturgy of the Holy Communion; 2) pastoral ministry, most of which has been done in recent decades by individual parishioners visiting, praying for, and helping one another in many various ways including taking food to the sick, fixing household items, providing rides, and running errands, and 3) community service which centers around the 365 days/year, multiple-times-a-day, use of our church facility by 12-step groups. Within the larger community we help in preparing meals at the local soup kitchen, the school snackpack program, and entering a float in the annual Española Electric Light Parade.
